From Airport take train S7 till Wien Mitte/Landstraße. Than take Underground U4 till Station Schottenring. Then change to U2 till Stop Schottentor/University. From there change to the Tram no. 43 or 44 , 2 stops till station Alser Strasse/Langegasse

Yes, we have elevator. Unfortunately there is also one step in almost every room, only 2 our Apartments are without steps inside

Friendly staff, clean accommodation, close to museums and places of internet and bus 13a, great!

Clean accommodation, pleasant staff, close to the museums and places of i retest, easy to walk around. 13a bus is great, picks you up at the station and get off at last stop which is a 5 minute walk to the hotel, fantastic!

Strategic location

The reception service remains very good even late at night. The hotel's location is fantastic, with numerous city attractions, restaurants, and supermarkets within walking distance.

The sound of people's footsteps and conversations can be heard in the corridor.

Interesting concept of living in an apartment building, good location. Quite good coffee for breakfa

The rooms were clean, I appreciated the new air conditioning since the temperatures were high in the city. The location was also very convenient and easy to walk to the city center. Our double-room was smaller, but the bed was big and comfortable.

There were two of us in one room, but at the reception, they didn't want to give us a second room card, which was very inconvenient for us. After a very assertive request, we finally got it on the third day. Unfortunately, the cards didn't work very often and since they opened the doors at night from the main entrance and from the floor, we had to wake up the employees, who were clearly annoyed by this. The noise from the trams could be heard even through closed windows, but that's the price for living near the center.

Good, but nothing special.

Clean room. Very kind staff. The have a private garage, but for 20 euros. Location is good, 10 minutes walk to U2 line. Average breakfast.

The bathroom equipments are used, need some renovation. Staff is kind but not professional (2 hours after the check out they called us to pay the bill although it was already paid before giving back the keys).

Wonderful and best position

The hotel position is wonderful. Near to the underground and all the public transports. Also by foot you can reach the best city attractions. The staff is available for all your requests and the room are very confortable and clean.

Personal was nice and helpful, the floor had been thoroughly washed. The location is great and I loved the 20s lift.

There were fish fingers in the microwave from the previous guests. The peak "excellence" was probably reached 30 years ago - the side tables made out of glass could fall anytime, there was a old fax/phone and fan from the 90s, the mattress is quite thin (OK if you weigh less than 70 kg I guess), the fridge had broken things in the side doors, the coffee machine did not have anything to stop dripping (also 15 years old)....Altogether it really needs renovation. It surely explains why it is competitive pricewise

Great price and good location, not a 5 star resort but worth it.

The price and central location makes this place worth it. The room is very nice! The location is fantastic, but it is an old building beside a busy road so noise travels. If you are a light sleeper, you will not sleep. I recommend earplugs! Problem solved. It was nicer than I expected and the staff were very kind.

Again, for the price, no complaints. Sure the bathroom was not PERFECT, the showerhead could have been cleaned or descaled. I did not have the best sleeps because I am a light sleeper and could hear people talking in the other room. But I still extended my stay because overall it was great for the price.

Excellent choice

Excellent location where you can catch the tram and go anywhere you like. Very polite and helpful staff.

Most of the TV channels are in german, if we can have a couple of channels in english or fench it would be more entertainning

Convenient but no too comfortable

Breakfast buffet was conventional, but tasty. The location is really convenient.

The bathroom was a bit broken and in general with a smell of humidity. It is in general bad isolated, so one hears the other people at the other rooms.

Safe and 10 minutes from town

Nice breakfast room and friendly breakfast staff. Nice size room with comfy beds. Always someone on reception making it feel safe. Only about a ten minute walk to the perimeter of the old town and the absolutely superb outdoor ice skating ring which apparently is open until March.

Nothing too much to give negative feedback on but it is a very strange arrangement when you arrive as it appears to be a block of flats, then you get in the lift to the second floor which is where the hotel is all on one floor. The pictures give a misleading impression that the whole building is the hotel which it most certainly is not. Although our only complaint is not the hotels fault it is important to point out that the very load music possibly coming from the adjacent university and sounds like an AC DC tribute band is very annoying from around 4pm to 7pm every night of our three night stay whilst we were relaxing and getting ready to go out for the evening...

I recently stayed at Hotel Pension Excellence with my wife and two children and overall had a positive experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our early morning arrival. The room was clean and well-maintained.

However, we did not appreciate the parking garage as we had an SUV with a rooftop luggage carrier and it exceeded the parking height. We had to remove it before accessing the garage. The next morning, a hotel staff member assisted us in removing and reattaching the rooftop luggage carrier. Despite this inconvenience, we would still recommend this hotel.
